The International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) is a vibrant, growing organization of approximately 1200 international members. ILTS is the world’s leading professional society dedicated to liver transplantation.

Our goal is simple: to promote and disseminate scientific advances in liver transplantation worldwide.

We achieve this goal through ILTS meetings, publications and digital forums. Our flagship meeting, the ILTS Annual Congress, brings together ~1,500 attendees with key opinion leaders in surgery, hepatology, anaesthesiology, oncology and infectious diseases from around the world, sharing state of the art clinical, educational and research experience at an international level.

The hallmarks of ILTS Congress are interaction and access. Trainees and doyens from every major transplant and hepatology program around the world come together to understand current and to develop future best practices in hepatology, surgery, anaesthesiology and oncology as they relate to liver transplantation.

The ILTS provides four main educational activities:

  1. Annual Congress
  2. Symposia, including single topic and consensus Conferences
  3. Publications (Transplantation, the most cited transplant journal, is the official journal of ILTS and is the primary vehicle for dissemination of ILTS publications, including practice guidelines)
  4. Web-based learning, through our dynamic, interactive website.

Please partner with ILTS in promoting and disseminating the art and science of liver transplantation around the world.
